Fruit

In 2013, my dad and I planted some apple trees behind my house which are slowly producing more and more each year. In 2015 I also planted apples, crab apples, pears, plums and apricots on my Grandpas old farmyard. Hopefully they will produce strongly within the next few years along with the rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries planted in the vegetable garden which were also planted in 2015.  This venture is still in the beginning stage but in future years, this will be the next thing to take off due to my enduring interest. I'd like to give a big thanks to the company I'm working for, Jeffries Nurseries, for supplying most of these plants and also so much teaching me so much about their growth, care and variety.
The plan for this summer is to add more of each crop previously mentioned and also start an area with cherries, saskatoons and sea buckthorn at the old farm. I'm very excited to make these additions to my production and learn how to properly take care of them. I will be selling all fruit fresh as well as trying my hand at making jam, sauces and dried goods as they come.
