Herbs

I have been dabbling in the world of herbs for a few years but now I really want to get into it. The diversity of herbs you can grow along with their vast amounts of uses and health benefits are very appealing to me. Plus herbs are relatively cheap and easy to grow. I also joined the Herb Society of Manitoba to perhaps gain some more insights and learn from the best.
I've invested  in a good dehydrator so that I can compile and make home-grown spices and teas. The main teas I will try to push are chamomile, mint, lavender and lemon balm as well as many mixtures. I may also incorporate some dried fruits into the mix like apple, rhubarb and berries. I will have to taste-test this myself to find out what flavours are the best and in what proportions.  Many types of flavoring herbs will also be available with various different uses, tastes, smells and health benefits. Hopefully somebody looks forward to these products!

Here is a list of the herbs that I will be growing this year:

Basil, bee balm, chamomile, chives, cilantro, dill, marojam, lavender, lemon balm, mint, oregano, parsley, poppy seed, rosemary, sage, savory and thyme
